Pop in Moonraker and watch the scene where Bond is wrestling the snake. There is a kind of alter on that set where a chest can be seen. It looks very much like the chest Obi Wan take Lukes sabre out of in SW. I have seen the same kind of chest in another Bristsh movie, but the film title escapes me like logic escaping George Bush. Also in Moonraker, when Bond and Holly Goodhead are on the space station sneaking around, Bond rips some wires out from under a console. Hollygood head is tinkering with something that looks like the thing Liea is tinkering within the Falcon before Han Solo lays on the charm and kisses her. (looks like pair of half circle, hinged claps) I have not done a careful comparison of any of the stuff, but it all looked familier. I The chest was likely a found item. Can't imagine what the other thing could have been.

there is a better shot of the obi wan like chest in MR after Bond and Holly escap the shuttle blast. They come out a trap door and scurry past it.

Interesting, I'll take a look, it's more than likey seeing the same as props were re-used in other films.

I think all the Bond's were done at pinewood studios as opposed to Elstree for Star wars but i imagine the same companies supplied each studio with stuff .
