Posts: 72 02/20/09 07:27:45	ye, the stupid vcra bill, there is a way around it, tho not many people know it, but if you can prove your either a re-enactor i.e. 501st or and airsofter you can sign up to UKARA, thats the United Kingdom Airsoft Retailers Association, this allows u to buy restricted weapons, it may be worth mentioning it to who ever is running the 501st now as they should be able to get themselves set up as a registered group, if u want i can put the UKARA link on here as a seperate topic so people can look into it. Posts: 1 04/13/09 09:02:43	Hello all, stumbled across this forum looking for advice on stormtrooper armour. Did a bit of lurking and felt pretty comfortable so thought I ought to introduce myself properly. I've always been interested in making costumes and props and I'm currently making up a sandtrooper backpack and looking for a good armour producer which is driving me , lol! (any advice would be gratefully received) I'm pleased with how the backpack's going so will post photos shortly. Wouldn't say I'm a massive Star Wars fan, more of sci fi in general, but am enjoying putting my sandy together.

Posts: 2 04/13/09 18:10:42	Thanks for the warm welcome, TF. This is a cracking site with a nice comfortable vibe to it. Would really appreciate the armour info, could you possibly PM it? Here are some pics of the current build (sorry they're so huge, i'll get the hang of it eventually!). I spent most of today working on the dials/radio face bit. Obviously, I'll spray it black to match, but it's amazing what you can do with a slab of modelling clay. I'm taking photos as I go along and I'm adding them to a build album on flickr so I can add details and notes for my benefit (and anyone else's if they want them).
