Tags : None Well folks, as the Title says ....... what got you started in all of this and how has it effected your life and Home also any good stories to tell on any certain props ? , Ie. the day you finally found that special prop you had been looking for , for so long or a funny tale to tell as to how you got a prop. Also anything that's missing in your collection? if so What ? and what would you love to have in your collection, again getting back to that special Prop or maybe a Prop that you hand built and had pride in saying " I did that ". Started, reading a maxpower mag on the loo Saw a chav'ed out saxo I think, with a Tk lid on the parcel shelf, thought "ooohh! boys toy!" and one bikerscout, Tk, Maul and now Barc trooper later, working on umpteen other projects later, including a sith probe droid (1:1 scale) Mauls Binocs, and numerous other "plans" wizing round my head! DC15 long, ect. Lovin it! live the dream!

Action without vision is a nightmare.'	may as well add mine then , i got started on costumes when i first got hooked up on the Interweb and had a snoop round for starwars items and came across a website with a stormtrooper arresting a Glasgow Rangers Fan , i then took it on myself to go find a stormy suit and found one quite quickly from the old GT site way back , god that makes me feel old. The rest is sort of history as i got sucked in and met a whole bunch of mad people whom i call friends now , but i wouldn't change anything for all the tea in england. Props is just a spin off of my costuming hobby but it's more than a hobby now LOL , but the more stuff i see the more i want to collect but space is a premium so i have to watch what i collect but that doesn't stop me having a go and saying everything was £10 from ebay . Posts: 296 02/28/08 00:04:30 Moderator	I first made some really rubbish prop guns as a kid but was always better at modelmaking.I first got into props when i got the tinternet , trawling around gathering info and then i found E-bay and then the spending started !! Yep everythings a tenner Ian your right First got an EE-3 and a Fett lid but then started having a go at making my own parts ,eventually got a Sterling and ended up molding all the bits and selling there myself and then made masters for ROTJ E11 parts then DL44 and a full biker scout blaster etc etc. I have recently got into costuming through doing the prop parties so i am the other way round Always props that i want to build or collect but there is never the time ....darn having to work for a living Would love a nice pulse rifle, smart gun ,AR1 ,MG34 ,MGC Sterling ,MGC mauser ,real M19 scope(bin after one for years! ) another graflex ...etc...etc In memory of Graham Campbell

Posts: 2194 02/28/08 18:59:52 Administrator RPB Contributor	Mem 1999 saw people selling props, this was pre UKG days, I'll blame Baden. 1st prop more of a model, a X-wing when I was 10, painted it, it turned out quite good. Proper prop was a Mauser I coverted in a Han ESB DL44. I was into props before costuming, guess it progressed when I got a set of Stormtrooper armour. My mother bought for me the very first release Don Post Darth Vader helmet and then not long after that I got the DP Stormtrooper from Famous Monsters Magazine's ad. I was in love with props from that point forward. Just having "something from the movie" was enough to feel so cool. My first fan made prop was an Ed Miarecki oversized TOS Phaser II I picked up at a Creation Starlog Convention in Chicago in 1989. I've been broke ever since! *Lord Abaddon* "It will be a hard life.
