Well, finally finished one of my "little" projects at last! though as you all know, its sometimes the smaller ideas that take the longest to take
shape.
Not near the same standards as other members on this forum, but I'm chuffed with how it came out.
Started as a toy interactive game, you had a saber, with i.r. that activated foam disks, fired from the front of the droid. Scale wise, its a fraction smaler than 1:1, but close enough.
Got to work, hacking out the internals, and modding the appatures, fitting lenses ect....
Screw holes filled in, wires changed for accurate ones, plenty of filler and sanding, a nice lick of paint...
Side on...
From the rear...
Made the base from perspex tubing, and a wooden kitchen roll holder, works a treat!
Oh, and the "peice de resistance!" I added an amp internaly, if you look closely at the main lense, theres a speaker mounted behind it, and a slot hatch to hide an mp3 player, it has a loop track, playing random droid sounds and a hovering noise, also plays your favourite tunes!, gucci MP3 speaker!!!
Hope you guys like it!
