Hi, Just found your great site and wondered if any of you kind people could offer a bit of advice please
I'm a collector of all things Doctor Who and looking to create a couple of different replica masks. I was going to use clay for the original and produce a
latex (and plaster of paris) mould. My problem is what to cast the actual piece from. If I'm being honest I'm trying to avoid fibreglass so was looking
at Jesmonite or Fastcast polyurethane resin. Can anyone offer any advise on which medium to recommend? If I were to use polyresin would it be strong enough for
the purpose of a mask and which paints could I use on it. I should mention, the masks are not intended to be worn, just displayed in my collection. Any help
on this matter would be very gratefully received.
All the very best,
Mark
