Sadly i have had to put a hold on my cossie ,work has been a bit thin on the ground and I am moving house soon :cry

Slowly! Been getting a bit side tracked with droid related stuff recently, but have been putting some hair bits and bobs together. I was thinking of bringing some samples with me to Mem to see what folk reckon on the colours....if I remember! I'm finding it very easy to tie, but very time consuming and also very difficult to get the right thickness of hair too.

The face sculpt is basically finished, but I havent got round to getting the material for molding it yet. Once I've done the mask I can sort out the skull and underskull..... hopefully!

Looking good Paul, I notice in your step by step you had probs painting the Silicone. Rule of thumb, the only thing that sticks to silicone is more silicone. I generally thin down silicone caulking and tint with oil paints or universal tints. Nice job there mate.

I finally got my butt in gear and my wookie project is back on

Mostly after seeing Pauls (stealthtrooper)amazing work at the NSC. gonna try and do a Tarfful but as funds are limited I am going to addd more fur to a rubies chewie costume i bought here's some work that i have done on the ammo boxes and emblem for the bandolier

Well finally got my backside in gear and started on the underskull. I made a direct cast from my face in polymorph plastic, cant find the original pic of the cast on its own but will add it when i do !!
To add some height to the skull as wookie heads do I used an old hard hat with the brim cut off and screwed it to the polymorph cast. I then used polyurethane foamto add some wookie shape to the mask.After applying the foam ,which expands like mad .I wrapped cling film around it to keep a smoother shape to it .

After this had cured I gave it a coating of car boby repair filler ,firstly the fibreglass reinforced king and then the normal P38 filler.Slight rub down and a coat of primer and i tried the polymorph teeth out that I made earlier Smile

Need to cut some away from the jawline as the bottom teeth are to low but so far so good Very Happy

After looking at all the wookie pics i can i have observed tarfful has a meaner angrier look than most ,so i have tried to transfer this to the skull mouth with a more upturned jawline hope it comes out right !!

Here's the pics of the initial cast from my face, I added the eyebrows after The tabs on the jaw were later removed as I had trouble with the lower jaw rubbing on them and not springing back very well. Check out pauls site Tony as well,http://makingwookie.co.uk/forum/index.php , Lukenukem is making great progress on his wookie as well Also did some teeth in polymorph while making the skull.
