There must be some more Dredd heads out there so I'll take the plunge & start the thread comments.
I've managed to purchase a move accurate Street Judge Helmet from a UK based costume maker. I've also got on order a movie version Lawgiver found via these very boards. The UK supplier I've found is working towards casting & creating a full set of judges armour along with the accessories. I am eagerly awaiting the outcome of the creative process. If anyone is interested in the contacts I've made drop me a line. Also if anyone has been able to source any other Dredd costume items I would be interested in their comments & details of the supplier. Drokk it, there must be more people out there who would like to get together & share ideas as well as perhaps getting a squad together or similar. Post away. Jock. |

Good grud,another dredd head.Heres somthing,one of the playstation peripheral companies used to make a light gun called the predator,it was very close to the movie lawgiver 2,as a light gun it was crap but with a little reworking could be turned into a serivceable prop for events and such.The good thing is that they're not rare and any junk shop or cash generators will have one for a few quid. I haven't seen one of those guns for ages but thinking back you're right it did not look too dissimilar to the Lawgiver 2. The one I've ordered is based around an airsoft Baretta with the appropriate modifications to give it the Lawgiver appearance. I can send you some photos if you like along with the contact details. I have one of the Predator Lightguns, so I dug it out and took some pics, I knew it was close, not 100% but for a costume piece should be OK if I remember but hey you guys are the experts you can do all the difference pointing out, if you need any more pics taken from certain angles to check just say, anyway enough prattaling here's the pics

Looking at the photos that item would certainly be a basis for a Lawgiver 2. Since I'm hopeless with DIY & building things, I ordered from someone who makes them. The easy way out I know, but at least I end up with something well made as opposed to demolished by me. Thanks for the photos anyway, they may help someone who wanted to build their own. Yeah I remember when I got one of those guns that I thought it was a shameless copy of the lawgiver from the movie, right down to the leds that flash when the gun is fired.
Now of course if someone could mod the electronics so the gun spoke as it did in the movie and the leds flashed that would be damn cool. With a chariot wheel in each hand he killed 100 men by his left and 100 men by his right, he did not think it too many.
